a week in the life

apologies for not putting any time whatsoever to this little bloggy lately. the transition to my new spot, and the energy put into my new thing, have left this bloggy a tad malnourished of any substantial goodness. (minus some friday music posts from the big man that has been holding the pillars in place)
the past week has been especially interesting as i was able to participate in this year’s Interactive Screen festival/conference that the BNMI holds every year.
our research team (angus, rupinder, davide, moi) were asked to present our most current mobile experience ideas which brought many needed mixed reactions. there were lots critisism’s and much praise from experts in the field. i’d say more praise which keeps it all worthwhile.

check this link out for intelligent writing on the event’

nuit blanche – toronto edition

I was pretty happy to read that Toronto will be having it’s very own nuite blanche this year. I posted earlier about Montreal’s version (which I in fact did not make it to this year). See here for that.

It is currently in development and there is a call to all artists, musicians, installations… all things entertaining. A good time to get in touch with them if you want to be involved. If it is anything like the Montreal version it should be a wonderfull event. It is scheduled for the end of September so lots of time to get your ideas ready and to make preperations. (more…)

la nuit electronik

It’s time once again for the Montreal Highlights Festival. A week long festival that keeps the city going night and day. It is by far one of the most interesting festivals I can think of worldwide, with something for everyone. The main focus of the festival being the last weekend (in this case it’s this weekend coming up). A noteable that I plan on checking out is “La nuit Electronik” put on by Piknic Electronik and Mutek. Always a great positive vibe full of diverse, interesting people, and wild local and international musicians.

Many many many many art exhibits, great food, and just a real royal party. Anyone interested in taking the drive, drop me a line.
