As I stated in a previous post about Spore, not the biggest gamer there is but this one piqued my interest aswell. Totally down with the mythology/fantasy aspect of it and the graphics look incredible. I’ll leave it to the experts in the field to give you a better rundown of what it’s all about though.

flash has it’s place – or – flow

Another pretty solid use of flash. In this case, an evolution game with elegant ambient audio and nifty gameplay. Not hard by any means, but ultra addictive. Have a quick read of the instructions then start evolving. My creature is above. It took an hour and a half.

Hmm. Never EVER thought I’d be writing about video games as nothing has seemed significant enough. Until now. It’s not out yet, but from what I’ve read it’s going to rock. Basically a game that mimics evolution and seems to be virtually never ending.

Exerpt from Wired:

“Spore will give players the chance to control life — from the ground up.

Starting with single-cell organisms, players work on designing life with ever more complexity. As the game progresses, players must figure out how to take creatures from individual animals to small tribes and then to cities, whole planets, solar systems and galaxies. (more…)
