Just in time for Summer, John Fluevog and Gnarls Barkley are giving you the chance to dance away in your Flash New Fluevogs, listening to Gnarls Barkley on your Brand New Apple iPod*. So throw on a black hat, pour yourself a glass of milk, slide some flavour on the turntables and ENTER HERE.

I’m in love with a machine.

Do you like your watches kids?

uboat watch

I’ve been unable to peel myself away from u-boat’s website since I came across it. There aren’t even words to describe feeling I get from these designs, and if there were they would surely result in a “Sorry Charlotte”. I just love the big chunky machined steel bodies. That typeface gives the impression a nuclear bomb and a bolt of lightening could strike at the same time and the watch wouldn’t even bat an eyelash (if watches had eyelashes u-boats would have steel eyelashes). The numerals at 4, 12 and 8 give the perfect balance to the face. All models have visible mechanical movement on the back as well.

A couple reasons why I won’t ever own one.
- Mechanical movement = $$$
- I can’t decide which model I want the most.
- As far as I can tell there doesn’t appear to be anybody actually selling these beauties. There are no resellers listed on the site apart from the main office in Lucca, Italy so if anyone happens to be in the area do me a favour and pick me up one of every model/colour…. thanx.

Thanks to Julian for sending over a link to the new lacoste spring/summer 06 line. I can’t say that I’ve ever been a big fan but a few of this seasons designs are intruiging. Actually, it’s all about the Rotate Mirage for me. A nice looking kick that is very reminiscent of, and look to be inspired by cycling shoe designs. Thanks Mr. Simpson.

For all you sneaker pimps, Gravis has recently introduced their spring 06 lineup. Guys can check them here, ladies here. Ive only ever owned the Kingpin which held up equally on my mountain bike pedals riding through the trails or walking down numerous city streets. Nice wide platform, good ankle protection, and looked snazzy. The new Kingpin looks equally fresh.

A good look at the new adiColor schemes. Some heavyweight designers with their interpretations. Notably Peter Saville’s uber minimalist G2. Not surprising that he’d get away with introducing a fully white shoe to the green series.
